Fireflies

In Fireflies, we have been discussing the importance and significance of Black History Month. The children had some very sensible and thoughtful discussions. We focused on Barack Obama and looked at why he has been such an influential and significant person. Barack Obama was the first African American Presiednt of the United States of America and he represented hope for many people. We carried out some research and discovered that he introduce the Affordable Health Care Act for all people. Using the information that we had learned, we created an acrostic poem.
