This week I have had the pleasure of watching Fireflies receiving their class awards - it's so lovely to see classrooms full again and the children's faces when they receive their awards are second to none!

I have being carefully watching a different class each week to see who will receive my special Headteacher's award of the week - this week Antonia impressed me with her outstanding behaviour all week.  

Starting this week I will be looking out for those children who go that extra mile and I will be giving out 'spot prizes' to those children who really catch my eye for making the right choices and displaying exceptional behaviour.  The children who get these certificates will go straight on the gold star in their classes.  We are keeping a note of who achieves gold star status and these children will go in the draw to win what used to be the attendance vouchers.  This year we're swapping attendance for effort and excellence - there will be so many opportunities to get on that gold star that there will be no excuse for anyone not being part of the draw at the end of term.
