Date: 15th Jun 2020 @ 7:38am

Hello guys, it’s that time of week again. Did you enjoy all of the challenges from last week? I saw some great work so keep it up. I have some more fun filled tasks for you to have a go at.

Remember to try a link from the Home Learning page and carry on reading as often as you can!

My challenges this week are:

Maths- I would like you to try and round numbers to at least 1000 to the nearest 10 or 100. Here is a link to help you https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zh8dmp3/articles/zpx2qty#:~:text=Rounding%20to%20the%20nearest%20100,digit%20in%203281%20is%208.

English- This week I would like you to focus on your descriptive writing. Choose any character from Harry Potter and write a character description. You may need to research the character first. I have attached a checklist to help you and here is an example for you;

Rubeus Hagrid is a half-giant with shaggy hair and a wild, tangled beard. He is the Keeper of Keys and Grounds, Gamekeeper, and Care of Magical Creatures professor at Hogwarts. He is extremely fond of interesting, magical creatures, that anyone else would call fearsome monsters.

Topic- This week is an art challenge. It is the time of year where we would have been looking at the work of Kandinsky. I would like you to try and recreate one of his famous pieces of artwork below. If you’re feeling extra arty why not try them both.

Wassily Kandinsky Non-Objective Color Pencil and Watercolor Pencil ...Wassily Kandinsky — Color Study. Squares with Concentric Circles, 1913
